It’s been an inspiring week for the Beaconfire RED crew. We took to the streets at the March for Science, with our Clients (The Nature Conservancy, Audubon, Union of Concerned Scientists, and many others) to make our voices heard about science’s critical role in our democracy. A few days ago, my colleague Jared Schwartz and I co-hosted a gathering of nonprofit leaders to discuss the unique communications and political landscape that many progressive nonprofits are experiencing following the presidential election. With our partners Vanguard Communications we explored these issues, shared lessons and walked away energized, inspired and thankful we are able to support all these great organizations. We are motivated to continue convening, sharing and learning to help all progressive nonprofits stronger and more effective.
Not long ago, we also conducted a similar “leadership summit” for federated nonprofits and plan to reconvene that group in the coming months. We’re very proud of to be working as a part such great causes and supporting them with knowledge sharing opportunities like this.
