What came first, the email template or the email content?

As digital marketers know, one of the biggest email challenges is always to ensure the best possible delivery of a message across multiple platforms and devices. But what about production efficiency? Or brand consistency? And oh, right, good content. Are we spending too much time on fixing the result vs thinking strategically about the goal?

Hacking our way to innovation

Most digital agencies are looking for ways to not only stay relevant in the marketplace but also to inspire their teams to take risks and innovate. Recently we held an internal “Hackathon” to explore what would happen when let staff run a bit wild with their imagination and skills.

The outcome was geekily glorious.

I sat down with Jared Schwartz, our VP of strategic innovation, and Thomas Taylor, the software engineer who organized the event, to learn more about what happened during those two days.

Beaconfire is Honored to Be Part of a Pioneering New Institute and Memorial in Cambodia

Beaconfire is honored to be a part of a new institution and genocide memorial underway in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. The Sleuk Rith Institute is the vision of human rights activist and investigator of the Khmer Rouge atrocities, Youk Chhang. “We have to live with a long, dark shadow,” says Chhang. “We cannot escape it, but we shouldn’t be enslaved by it. I want the institute to bring something new and hopeful, and get us out of the mindset of being victims.”
